Biography
1973 – 2019 forty six years of hairdressing
Born in Trani, a small town in the South of Italy, where Farinelli sang.
Pascal Ventura emigrated with his family to Lausanne in 1964.
It was in the sewing workshop of his parents, Matilde and Franco, that his interest in fashion started. At the age of 16, he began an apprenticeship as a ladies hairdresser.
After receiving his diploma in 1976, he went straight to the most famous hairdresser in town. Seduced by his enthusiasm and his elegant appearance, José Giordano, the Figaro world champion, hired him immediately. Their wonderful collaboration lasted for nearly 10 years, marked by great successes as well as establishing a deep friendship.
At the age of 20, and thanks to his master, Pascal becomes the youngest member of the Swiss Artistic Hairdressing. Contests, shows and photos emerge from this partnership. Many professional events, and fabulous meetings with famous hairdressers such as Alexandre de Paris and Jean-Marc Maniatis, created a passion in his eyes, that still remains today. The desire to succeed in this wonderful profession is very strong. Modigliani, Aznavour, Chaplin and Versace are the artists Pascal is most fond of and who inspire him and his work. To see people live and evolve are his most valuable sources of inspiration.
Photography developed as a hobby and meeting Marcel Imsand has a big influence on him, leading to his first credit card purchase- a complete Canon camera set, which he paid back in 18 months.
In 1980, he married Linetta, who a few years later, gave birth to their two children, Francesco and Sabrina.
At the end of October 1985, was the opening of the hairdressing salon, at 17, Av. de la Gare in Lausanne.
Pascal was able to give free rein to his creative spirit, as Linetta took care of the essential administrative work which ensured the smooth running of the salon.
Very quickly, the hairdressing salon became “The Place” in the world of fashion in the capital of Vaud.
Articles appear frequently in specialist magazines which always gives motivation. Show businesses, advertising and the cinema also solicit the creations of the hairdressing salon.
Meeting artists like Celine Dion, Paolo Conte, Nazaré Pereira, Petula Clark and Lolita Morena and many others, confirms that success is possible if it is nourished with enthusiasm and effort. The production and animation of a television programme at T.V.R.L. was a very interesting experience, although difficult to manage, this additional activity provided insight into human nature and culture.
When he has some free time, Pascal likes to paint. He also organises and sponsors charity galas to raise funds for several organizations dedicated to beating cystic fibrosis, cancer or mental disability.
Sometimes, he performs on stage and interprets his own songs or those of great authors such as Charles Aznavour. His loyal customers, as well as his many friends, constantly support him with these charitable events.
Surrounded by a young and very motivated team, he works in search of new styles that will appeal to his clients.
Through the art of hairdressing, Pascal pursues an objective that is very close to his heart : to bring well-being, beauty and the joy of life to his customers.
